The Mackenzie Method

Who I Am & Why I Do This Work

For years, I tried to heal by doing more — more therapy, more journaling, more pushing through when I just wanted to stop.
On the outside, I was helping others and holding it all together.
But inside, I was still in survival mode — constantly trying to please people, stay busy, and keep the peace with my relationships.

I later learned that survival mode isn’t just emotional; it’s biological.
When your nervous system is stuck in “on” mode, your brain reads even small stress as danger. You start making choices from fear instead of trust, and you can’t rest long enough to actually recover (McEwen, 2015).

That’s what led me to create Rosemary Ritual — a space that helps people understand how their bodies work, reconnect with their natural rhythms, and live from their yes instead of their shoulds.
Because when your nervous system feels safe, you stop attracting chaos and start drawing in what truly supports you. And that’s not magic — that’s biology (Porges, 2022).

I’m Mackenzie Lyon, a licensed therapist (LMSW) and somatic wellness educator with over a decade of experience in trauma prevention, relationship education, and community healing.
My work bridges psychology, spirituality, and embodiment — helping people bring the science of the nervous system into the rhythm of daily life so healing becomes something you live, not just talk about.

This isn't therapy.
It’s nervous system education that helps you feel safe enough to grow, connected enough to rest, and clear enough to make choices that feel true to you.

What Thriving Looks Like

When your body and mind start working with each other, everything changes:

  • You set boundaries without guilt.

  • You make choices from calm instead of fear.

  • You attract people and experiences that feel good in your body.

  • You wake up feeling present, grounded, and at peace.

That’s the heart of Rosemary Ritual: helping you move from survival to self-trust — and build a life that finally feels like yours.

You don’t have to earn rest.
You just get to exist here.
